FAQ
Who is Maleny Baptist Church?
We are a community of people drawn together by Jesus. Irrespective of our backgrounds, Jesus is the key to our existence. Life is better together and Jesus makes sense of it.
What does the church believe?
You can read our Statement of Faith which sets out our core Christian beliefs. We’re also happy to answer your questions.
What happens at your church service?
We meet every Sunday at 9 am. It is good to see each other and catch up. We worship God together with songs and prayer. We hear a message from Scripture that relates to our daily lives, and we enjoy a good morning tea together. We normally finish the service around 10:15 am. You are welcome to visit or listen to a message online.
Is there anything for my children?
Children are important to God, so they are important to us. While we have our church service, the Kidz Church program runs in the adjacent building.
What else do you do?
We love Christmas and so on the Sunday evening before Christmas we hold Carols on the Lawn. This is a simple and beautiful event, especially for families. Our men also love to gather and take on projects together. Overall, we are flexible and get involved with different ideas and projects from time to time.
What is your history?
Maleny Baptist Church started more than 100 years ago (around 1913). The original church building was at the top end of town. We relocated to our present location in about 1990. We are part of the wider family of Queensland Baptists.
